Its name is related to the famous author Miguel de Cervantes that wrote masterpiece 'Don Quijote de la Mancha'' a novel considered a literary gem until nowadays. Cervantes Institute operates worldwide by offering language courses and official certification exams like the DELE.
Its mission from the beginning has been to act as the worldwide representative of Spanish language and culture, similar to institutions such as the British Council or the Goethe-Institut.
